After a long trip, you finally arrive in the Maya country. You have in your possession an old note book (the exhibition) that you inherited from an uncle who used to work as an archaeologist in this part of the world. With an artist friend and a local guide, you set out to retrace his steps and relive his adventures. This note book will be very helpful as it will allow you to find answers to your questions and solve the enigma of your journey. Your adventure begins in Guatemala and is composed of ten steps. Every step is identified by the section to consult.

1.
(Front desk) You are on your way to the province of Petén. The bus is moving fast to travel the ten hours that seperate you from the jungle while your friend is inspired to draw the scenery. He reminds you of an historical character whose drawings revealed the Maya civilization to the world. What's his name?

2.
(Introduction) You are now in the small town of Flores in northern Guatemala. It's dry season at this time of the year and the heat is already making you uncomfortable. Your friend says that you will have to endure because it's the warmest season of the year in this region. Is he right?

3.
(Domestic) The next day, you go explore the surroundings to familiarize yourself with the Maya culture. After a few hours, you arrive in a small village. You are surprised to see that the Maya still live in huts. Since when does this kind of house exist?

4.
(Evolution) Your guide joins you the following day. He takes you on a hike in the jungle where you see your first archaeological structure. He shows you a construction that he says to be typical of Maya architecture. What is it? Complete the words:  _ _ _B_ _      _ _C_.

5.
(Tikal) You finally leave to visit the famous city of Tikal. You are particularly impressed by the Temple of the Great Jaguar. Your guide says that the number of levels of its paltform is a sacred number corresponding to the number of domains of the underworld. What is that number?

6.
(Copán) You continue towards the south to reach the city of Copán in Honduras. There you meet an archaeologist who agrees to give you a tour of the site. He takes you to see a part of the city that has been destroyed. What is the cause of this destruction?

7.
(Palenque) You get back on the road and head west. After a few days, you reach the city of Palenque in Chiapas. Your guide says that it is the most beautiful Maya city. You notice that the windows of the buildings are in the shape of a "T". What does it represent?

8.
(Uxmal) You continue your journey for a few hundred kilometers more to arrive at the city of Uxmal in Yucatán. Near the ruins, a child offers to tell you a legend in exchange for a few coins. His story reveals that one of the pyramids was built by magic. Which one is it?

9.
(Conclusion) It's the end of your journey and you head back to Guatemala. In the bus, you meet an old man who says that the agricultural problems of the country are caused by the same phenomenon that destroyed the ancient Maya. What is he talking about? Put the letters in order:  HDTUROG.

10.
